Research Topic

The research goals of the department of disease control are to control (prevent and treat) various important diseases, including diabetes mellitus and its complications, infectious diseases such as viral hepatitis and the other diseases, by investigating cell biological and disease specific phenomenon using human cells (hematopoietic, mesenchymal and endothelial cells, adipocytes and hepatocytes) and thereby clarifying the molecular mechanism of diseases and developing clinical application.
